Trail orienteering (TrailO) is one of the four orienteering disciplines sanctioned by the International Orienteering Federation. As compared to the more common foot O in Hong Kong, TrailO emphasizes on participants’ map reading skills. Good physical fitness does not contributes directly to the success in TrailO.
During TrailO competition, competitors are only allowed to move along the designated trail. Precise map reading skills, excellent terrain recognition and a clear mind are the keys to success in TrailO.
TerraX is organizing a trail orienteering competition for the first time this year. We aim to promote trail orienteering through the event and welcome all orienteers to join and fight for the champions!
